“Pasha” is the ancient name attributed to the Governor of a Province during the Ottoman Empire. In the West, this designation corresponds to the title “Excellence”.
Founded in 2008, Paxá Wines is the fulfillment of an old passion shared between Joaquim Lopes and his son, Tiago. Located South of Silves, a historic city with extensive wine references, Quinta do Outeiro has an area of 13 hectares of vineyards, planted in a special “terroir”, with clay-limestone soil, influenced by the proximity of the sea, by sun exposure and by microclimates.
Paxá wines are ready to surprise by giving life to wines with traditional grape varieties such as Negra Mole, a unique grape in the world and exclusive to the Algarve or with Crato, commonly known as Syria.
By appointment, a guided tour of the winery and vineyards can be organized, including tasting of the various references.
