Quinta da Bulfata is an agricultural project that belongs to the Rabaçal Family and has a total area of 35ha. It is located in the small village of Pinhal do Douro, in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães.
In its vast amplitude of altitude, which varies between 300 and 600 meters, it has schistous soils, of transition between granite and schist and also sandy soils (the latter detached from the rest). Both Viticulture and Enology of the 10ha of vineyards are supervised by Victor Rabaçal. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão, Tinta Barroca, Fernao Pires, Rabigato, Gouveio, Viosinho and Alvarinho are part of the range of grape varieties that were planted, each one located according to the type of soil, altitude and exposure to the sun. In addition to the vineyards, one may find traditional olive groves and forest areas where Cork, Carrascos, Zimbros and Medronheiros predominate.
