Garrocha is the brand that gives name to the wines of the Macieira family. Dedicated to wine production in the demarcated region of Lisbon, they explore three Quintas in the municipality of Alenquer. At Quinta do Garrido, Quinta da Gaia and Quinta de Sans Souci, the wines are produced solely from grapes grown in their soils.

With sustainable vineyards, which are not watered, Francisco Macieira, a third generation member, is the winemaker responsible for the production and has endowed the business with irreverence and creativity, an expression that is revealed particularly in the Barca do Inferno brand, a red with an unlikely blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sousão or Criatura, the result of a field blend of Tinta Miúda, Mencía and Castelão.
