Rovisco Garcia’s brand, benefits from the high standards imposed by the family that gives it its name. For several generations they have been engaged in agriculture, especially corktrees, olive groves and vineyards, in the municipality of Avis, Alto Alentejo.
The management of their lands has as goal a full commitment to the future, through respect of ecosystems, working under the motto of sustainable management, preserving biodiversity and natural habitats.
In addition to the wines that are today a reference in the Alto Alentejo, the property is classified as Important Bird Area, privileged place for the practice of bird watching, and bears the certificate according to the FSC – Forest Stewardship Council and PEFC, Programe for the Endorsement of Forest Certification.
In the vineyard, the option fell upon the cultivation of endemic varieties and a set of others that could originate reference wines in the Alto Alentejo: Aragonez and Syrah, but also Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Arinto and Antão Vaz. Alto Alentejo wines that harmoniously combine freshness with structure.
